Kathak Guru and actor Veeru Krishnan died, Priyanka Chopra and others condole

Veteran Kathak trained dancer and actor Veery Krishnan who is known for playing a pivotal role in Aamir Khan starrer Raja Hindustani has died in Mumbai on 8th September. Veeru Krishnan trained several actresses to perform Kathak and other dance forms. He trained actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Athiya Shetty and others.

The actresses alongside Priyanka Chopra and others condole his death and shared heartfelt messages on Twitter.

Priyanka Chopra tweeted, "You taught me to dance when I was two left feet. Your patience and passion for dance was so infectious that each one of us not only learned Kathak, but so much more from you. You will always be remembered Guruji. #panditveerukrishnan,"

 

Suniel Shetty's daughter Ahtiya also shared a message and wrote, "Omg, so sad and shocked to hear this. RIP guruji. Thank you for teaching us hard work, discipline and to truly love the form of Kathak."

Actress Tisca Chopra also paid tribute to Veeru Krishnan with a throwback photo. She wrote, "A sad sad day, my Guruji #PanditVeeruKrishnan left us. He taught me so much besides #Kathak Most important of all was to have a laugh while doing one’s best. Guruji I will miss you deeply. You were one of a kind.. may you dance into heaven and may the heavens dance with you.. #RIP,"

 

Veeru Krishnan had worked in films like Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995), Ishq (1997), Dulhe Raja (1998), Mela (2000) and Akhiyon Se Goli Maare (2002).
