Kabali Global Box Office: Rajinikanth film mints Rs 105 crore, shatters Sultan, Baahubali records

The much-awaited Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali has set a new record at the worldwide Box Office. The film, which released on 22 July, has shattered all records to become the biggest opener of all time.

The Rajinikanth film seems to be unaffected by the mixed reviews. The Pa Ranjith-directorial minted a​ record-breaking Rs 105 crore worldwide on the opening day.The film also had special premieres in the USA, the UAE, Malaysia and the UK.

Here is a break down of Kabali's global Box Office collections:

Overseas premieres on 21 July (USA/UAE/Canada/Malaysia/UK): Rs 16 crore (Record)

All India release on 22 July: Rs 45 crore

Overseas release on 22 July: Rs 44 crore (Record)

Total: Rs 105 crore

With these phenomenal numbers, Kabali has broken the worldwide Box Office numbers set by Sultan (Rs 72 crore) and Baahubali (Rs 66 crore).

Ahead of the release of Kabali, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu had expressed confidence that the film would cross the Rs 100 crore-mark worldwide with premieres and Friday numbers. And as it turns out, he was right!

Thanu, who also produced Theri, is confident that Kabali will gross Rs 500 crore at the worldwide Box Office. It will be interesting to see how accurate his predictions turn out to be.
