Johnny Lever to reprise Tiku Talsania's role in Varun Dhawan starrer Coolie No 1
Director David Dhawan is planning to remake his own film Coolie No 1 with his son Varun Dhawan. The film will be an official adaption of the original film Coolie No 1 starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the leading roles. However, this time Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan will play leading roles and Paresh Rawal will play Sara's father in the film.
Now the latest addition is that veteran comedian-actor, Johny Lever is going to be a part of Coolie No 1. He will be reprising the role of Tiku Talsania of an inspector. John Lever who had worked with David Dhawan in many films is excited to work with the father-son duo and feels that duo has a strong understanding of comedy.
“I’ve worked with David in many films, including Deewana Mastana, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge and Judwaa 2. It’s great to team up with him again, he has a good understanding of comedy and we have been in sync since the ’90s. It’s a wonderful role.” said Jhonny Lever.
The film is going to start on a roll from 5th August in Bangkok and will have an assembled cast for the amazing script. The film is slated to release on 1st May 2020. Let us tell you that earlier Varun and David Dhawan also had remake Judwaa 2.
