JNU Violence: Teary-eyed Swara Bhasker appeals Delhi Police to stop mob attack

The entire country is in state of shock after a brutal attack broke out between Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Left-wing students at Jawaharlal Nehru University. Both the student outfits are blaming each other for the attack. As soon as the violence broke out several videos and pictures started doing rounds on the internet.

In the video we can see how goons entering the campus and vandalizing properties, pelting stones. Not just this JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh and several other teachers of the university were brutally injured. On seeing this JNU graduate Swara Bhaskar took to her Twitter handle and appealed the police to stop the violence.


She uploaded a video where she can be seen requesting the Delhiites to gather in front of collage gate and to stop mob violence. She captioned the video as, “Urgent appeal!!!! To all Delhiites PLS gather in large numbers outside the Main Gate of JNU campus on Baba Gangnath Marg.. to pressure the govt. & #DelhiPolice to stop the rampage by alleged ABVP masked goons on JNU campus. PLS PLS share to everyone in Delhi! 9 pm on 5th Jan.”

Those who came in late then let us tell you that a group of masked goons entered the campus around 6:30 pm and went on a rampage hitting the students and the teachers. As per the NDTV report, “These are unknown ABVP goons, not all are students, they have covered their faces, and they were moving towards the hotels near the West Gate.”
