1. Lakshay
In this film, Hrithik portrayed the role of Karan Shergil, who grows from an aimless young man to an army officer in the film. This film didn't come out to be successful but his character and the storyline did earn a special place in audiences heart and also in his filmy career.
2. Jodhaa Akbar
In historical romance film helmed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Hrithik portrayed the role of Akbar while Aishwarya was seen as Jodhaa in the film. The 46-year old actor carried his character well and made sure that there is no one near to him when it comes to playing Akhbar.
3. Guzaarish
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most unconventional film starring Hrithik and Aishwarya. Throughout the film, his 6-feet frame was confined to a wheelchair leaving his face to express his all emotions. Well, this is one such film where Hrithik went out from his zone, he gained weight, darkened his skin tone and acquired a Bihari accent to portray the role of Anand Kumar, a maths genius. In Anand Kumar’s biopic, he turned into a rustic man from Patna who sacrificed pleasure of life to help the underprivileged. For this film, he was criticised for his role as people called him unfit and also said that by darkening the skin or changing the done did not sit well. However when the film released it won millions of heart.
