Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar after becoming the distributor of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, decided to launch the lead actor of the film Prabhas into Bollywood when the movie became a huge success, through his film, as per reports. But as per latest buzz, the former has now changed his mind.

The reports in leading daily, DNA suggest that Karan has backed out from the plan because of the huge amount that the actor was charging. Prabhas has asked for a huge amount of Rs 20 crores as his fees, which is supposed to a huge amount for a debutant actor in the Bollywood industry.

A close source was quoted by DNA as saying, “Prabhas had devoted five years of his life to the two Baahubali films and it was only fair that he would want to cash in on his new success. But the price he asked for was staggering. While it was okay for him to ask and get his desired price — reportedly in the vicinity of Rs 20 crores — in Telugu cinema, it was unrealistic for Prabhas to expect that kind of remuneration in Bollywood. No South Indian actor, not even Rajinikanth, has that kind of commercial clout in Hindi cinema. Prabhas has clearly out-priced himself from Bollywood.”

The source further revealed to the daily, “After Baahubali and its sequel, Karan was keen to launch Prabhas in Hindi cinema. But on seeing the price he was asking, Karan has decided to abandon the idea of launching him.”

The Baahubali star is currently busy with Sujeeth’s Saaho, in which he will be seen opposite Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor. Not only her quite a names from the Hindi film industry including those of Neil Nitin Mukesh, Manidra Bedi, Chunky Pandey and Jackie Shroff have also played a role in the mega-budget film.
