Gangubai Kathiawadi: Alia Bhatt turns ‘Mafia Queen’ for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film
Alia Bhatt’s first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is out and well once again the actress is going to surprise her fans. The makers unveiled the two posters on Twitter and captioned it as, “Strength. Power. Fear! One look, a thousand emotions.”
The 26-year old actress is portraying the role of mafia queen in the film. In the first look, she is seen wearing a blouse and skirt with two pigtails adorning it with ribbon. In this poster, she is looking all innocent and young. Whereas in another poster there is a stark difference in her character as she is looking matured with traditional Kathiawadi nose ring paired with a choker. Alia Bhatt also took to her Instagram and captioned the posters as, “Here she is, Gangubai Kathiawadi 🌹”

Gangubai Kathiawadi was announced in October 2019 after Bhansali’s film Inshallah starring Salman Khan and Alia got shelved. Apart from Alia, Vijay Raaz will also be seen playing a pivotal role in the film. While having a chat with him he revealed that she has a small part in the film. Talking about the release of the film then it is slated to hit the theatres this year on 11th September.
