Actress Nushrat Bharucha's new film Dream Girl is releasing on 13th September and she playing the leading role opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Nushrat shot to fame with her performances in the films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. But do you know that Nushrat even gave an audition for Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionnaire?

Nushrat gave an audition for Latika (Frida Pinto) role but Nushrat failed to bag this role. The makers thought that Nushrat has a charming face that won't suit to a slum area girl role.

While recalling the incident, Nushrat said, "I feel that my image gets into others mind. I was selected alongside Freida Pinto for Slumdog Millionnaire but I didn't get the role because of my looks. Director Danny Boyle's team called me and told that I don't look like a slum area girl."

"I was told I am a great actor, everything is perfect but my looks don't fit the character," she added.

Let us tell you that Slumdog Millionnaire won 8 Oscars in different categories. However, these days Nushrat is busy in the promotions of Dream Girl directed by Raaj Shandilya. The film also has actors like Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz and others.
