The world television premiere of Varun Dhawan's Dishoom has fared well on television as it garnered over 95 lakh impressions on Star Gold and Star Gold HD.
The film is now the most watched premiere of the year surpassing Akshay Kumar's Housefull 3, which recorded over 78 Lakh impressions. Interestingly, both films were aired on the same channel on different dates, and the Varun Dhawan film has beaten the record by a massive margin of 22%.

However, in terms of films premiered on TV in 2016, Dishoom got the second best viewership after Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Interestingly, the television rating of the Salman Khan film is more than the combined viewership of Dishoom, Housefull 3 and Baaghi.
