Dhoni: The Untold Story - Cricketer's father says Sushant Singh Rajput best fit as Dhoni

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput is gearing up for the biopic on Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The actor whose last on screen outing was Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, recently visited Dhoni's hometown in Ranchi.

He met the cricketer's father, Pan Singh, with whom he had a long conversation.

Sushant showed the cricketer's father videos of his homework for the character. And as per the makers of the film, Dhoni's father appeared much impressed with his hardwork and conviction. He instantly declared that Sushant was the best choice for essaying the role of his son, MS Dhoni, on screen.

Sharing his happiness, Sushant said:

"It gives me a different high when I hear this from people. It is a big responsibility for me and if people around Dhoni feel like that, then it is the biggest compliment I can receive.

Titled Dhoni: The Untold Story, the film is directed by Neeraj Pandey and also stars Kiara Davani, Fawad Khan, John Abraham and Ram Charan in pivotal roles.
