Despite Deepika Padukone, xXx: Return of Xander Cage fails to show magic at the Box-Office!

xXx: Return of Xander Cage starring Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel was off to a good start at the box office, however failed to carry on the momentum owing to the not so positive response from the audiences.

While the collections in opening weekend were fair, the movie witnessed a huge drop on Monday which has pretty much sealed the fate of the film. Experts opine that the messed up release strategy i.e. paid previews on Friday, has hampered the BO prospects of the film, since the movie lost out on a major chunk of money from Friday morning and noon shows.

Day Wise Business:

• Friday: Rs 2 crore (Paid Previews)
• Saturday: Rs 7.00 crore
• Sunday: Rs 6.25 crore
• Monday: Rs 2.50 crore
• Total: Rs 17.75 crore

Better reception at the box office was expected from the film, owing to Deepika Padukone's presence. Given the trend at ticket window, the movie is expected to settle at lifetime collections of somewhere close to Rs 35 crores.
