At a recent interaction, Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he thought people watched Piku only because of Deepika Padukone.
When asked to comment about this, actor Irrfan Khan - who shared screen space with Bachchan and Padukone in the urban family drama - said that the Bajirao Mastani actress was indeed a big star.
"I don't want to react on that. If he is saying so then there is some truth to it. Deepika is the biggest star and she was the diamond in the whole montage of actors and I am glad he acknowledged Deepika's work," he said.
Irrfan, who is currently busy promoting his film Madaari, also said that Bollywood was working to redefine commercial cinema. "We are trying to redefine commercial cinema and commercial cinema's definition should be broadened," he said.
