Bollywood actor Aamir Khan starer Laal Singh Chaddha has been trending on social media amid demands by a section of users to boycott the film. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is set to hit the big screens on Thursday, August 11.
It seems that whenever a film involving any controversial actor or tight content is about to release, netizens welcome it using a special hashtag trend 'Boycott'.

In 2015, Khan’s comments about ‘intolerance in India’ sparked massive outrage. Some social media users dug out the old controversy and shared it over the internet to create hatred among people for Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir stated in the statement that his wife Kiran Rao is uneasy in India and wants to leave.

The Thugs of Hindostan actor named his dog Shah Rukh Khan, which earned him a lot of backlashes. Aamir Khan and SRK also got into a cold war because of this.

Alia Bhatt's recently released Darlings was also added to the Twitter boycott list after several users complained that it made fun of victims of domestic abuse.
