October 11 marks the 80th birth anniversary of Amitabh Bachchan, or lovingly known as the Shahenshah of Bollywood. He is truly a megastar of the Hindi film industry with a marvelous career spanning over five decades.

Big B, who is known for his versatility and dynamism, has enthralled the moviegoers since his first superhit flick ‘Zanjeer’ (1973). He has essayed a wide range of roles, from the angry young man to the adoring romantic hero to unconventional characters.

Bachchan has changed the way the world looked at Bollywood with his consistent and marvelous performances in movies such as ‘Black’, ‘Deewaar’, ‘Don’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and others.

But today, on his 80th birthday, we have curated some of Big B’s flop movies for you. Surprised! Don't be, though; everyone is aware of his blockbusters, but what about his box office bombs?

Do Aur Do Paanch (1980):

With the intention of kidnapping the son of a wealthy father for a large ransom, two rival burglars wind themselves at the same school. The action/comedy/drama starred Shashi Kapoorm, Amitabh Bachchan, and Hema Malini in lead roles.


Shaan (1980):

Two brothers pursue the international mafia boss who killed their cop brother. Later, another man who is seeking revenge against the gangster joins them. The movie starred Sunil Dutt, Shashi Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles.

Ajooba (1991):

The story revolved around Baharistan’s Vizier who kills the royal family and takes power himself. But, the real crown prince returns to his homeland and take revenge as a masked vigilante 'Ajooba'. ‘Ajooba’ starred Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, and Rishi Kapoor in lead roles.

Aks (2001):

The story revolves around Raghavan Ghatge, a psychotic terrorist, and Manu Verma, the policeman who tracks him down. Both shoot each other. Raghavan's soul is transferred into Verma's body and vice versa. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles.

Wazir (2016):

A strange turn of destiny brings a grief-stricken policeman and an amputee grandmaster together as part of a larger scheme that has darkened their lives. Movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, and Aditi Rao Hydari in pivotal roles.

Sarkar Raj (2008):

The action/crime/drama starred Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles.

Shamitabh (2015):

An ambitious actress with speech impairment teams up with a man with a powerful voice. Will their egos come in the way as they take over the film industry together? The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush, and Akshara Haasan in pivotal roles.
