Before Gold, here's the Box office report of Akshay Kumar's films that released on Independence Day weekend

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar starrer film Gold is releasing on this Independence Day weekend and there are many expectations from this film of Reema Kagti. Khiladi Kumar has booked the dates of national holidays to release his films and in the last 5 years, we have seen Akshay's films releasing on this patriotic weekend on Independence Day.

Now when the film Gold is releasing on Independence Day weekend let's see how his earlier films that released around 15th August have performed at the box office.

 

OUATIM 2

1. Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara! (2013) - Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan starrer this film was a sequel to 2010 released film and the film was released on 15th August 2013. The film had a clash with SRK starrer Chennai Express, even after the much hype this film turned out as a disaster at the box office. The film did 61 crores collection in India.

 

Brothers film

2. Brothers (2015) - Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra starrer action family drama film was an average venture at the box office. The Karan Johar produced film released on 14th August and it collected 82.47 crores.

Rustom film

3. Rustom ( 2016) - Akshay Kumar once again painted himself into a patriotism with a love story of a naval officer. Rustom had a clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro, a period drama. Well, this time Akshay won the battle and did a marvellous collection at the box office. The film did 127.49 crores and the film also gained Akshay a national award.

 

Toilet Ek Prem Katha

4. Toilet Ek Prem Katha (2017) - Khiladi Kumar came up with a strong meaningful social drama film Toilet. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer film Toilet Ek Prem Katha did 134.22 crores collection at the box office turned out a blockbuster.
