B-town saddened over fire at 'legendary' Mumbai's RK Studios

B-town saddened over fire at 'legendary' Mumbai's RK Studios

Bollywood celebrities including Anupam Kher, Farhan Akhtar and Rishi Kapoor were saddened following a major fire that broke out on the sets of TV show ' Super Dancer' at RK Studio in Mumbai on Saturday.

According to the fire officials, there was no crew present on the sets, at the time of incident, therefore no injuries have been reported so far.

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor wrote, "Sad A major fire broke out at RK StudiosWe have lost the iconic Stage 1 Thankfully no casualties nor injuries. All your concerns appreciated"


Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar took to his Twitter handle and wrote, "Just heard about the fire at RK Studios.. here's hoping no one is injured."

Veteran actor Anupam Kher? wrote, "Feeling terrible about the #RKStudio fire. Have unbelievable memories and life lessons about the legendary studio. Hope people are safe."

Actor Boman Irani? also expressed his sadness on Twitter by writing, "Sad about the fire at #RKStudio! Hard to see history in flames. Hope all are safe....that's what matters. Even the great RK would wish that."

According to the fire officials, a level-two fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installation, decoration equipment in 100×80 sq ft area on the ground floor of the building.

Six fire engines, five water tankers and 12 ambulances were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
