Anupam Kher, Vivek Agnihotri get emotional while speaking about 'The Kashmir Files' [Watch]

The recently released film The Kashmir Files is being lauded from all quaters and is also minting money at the box office. Director Vivek Agnihotri and actors Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi visited the AajTak studio to talk about the film and also interact with the Kashmiri Pandits. While speaking to them, Anupam Kher and Vivek Angnihotri couldn’t hold back their tears.

The Kashmir Files has been trending on social media ever since it was released in the cinemas on 11th March. The Kashmiri Pandits were seen in tears after getting out of the theatres, remembering their suffering of leaving their native land.


While talking to some of the Kashmiri Pandits, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and bollywood actor Anupam Kher were seen getting emotional.

While a woman was giving an account of how her family had to run away from Kashmir, Anupam Kher was spotted wiping his tears.

Director Vivek Agnihotri, who has personally spoken to a lot of Kashmiri Pandit who were compelled to flee their native land, said that their biggest agony is that the people who betrayed them, killed their family, were their known ones like their neighbours, students and friends.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the movie was financed by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri under the banner of Zee Studios, IAmBuddha and Abhishek Agarwal Arts.

The cast of the movie stars Anupam Kher as Pushkarnath, Mithun Chakraborty as Brahma Dutt, Darshan Kumar as Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi as Radhika Menon, Bhasha Sumbali as Shraddha Pandit and Chinmay Mandlekar as Farooq Malik also known as Bitta, among others.
