Akshay Kumar's Rustom is set to get a reasonable release on around 2,100 screens in India despite its Box Office clash with Mohenjo Daro.
Rustom's all India distributor rightswere acquired by Kumar Mangat for Rs 40 crore and the film will be a clean hit at collections close to Rs 100 crore. Rustom's release strategy is similar to Airlift's, as the distributors are largely targetting multiplexes across the country.
While Airlift released on approximately 2,500 screens in India, the release size of Rustom is affected considerably because of another big release, Mohenjo Daro, on 12 August. As far as the overseas release is concerned, producers are eyeing around 400 screens in the first phase of its release.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, Rustom also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta in prominent roles.
