Akshay Kumar’s Crack postponed indefinitely?

After Special 26 and Baby, Neeraj Pandey announced his third association with Akshay Kumar on a psychological thriller titled Crack.

They had already booked the Independence Day 2017 release slot for the film, however soon after the release of Dhoni, Pandey confirmed that the film would be pushed to 2018 as given the genre; it would take a long time to finish the script.

However, it seems that Pandey has put the film on backburner as he will start shooting for his next directorial starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee from May 2017. Sources reveal that the director wasn’t quite happy with the way the script had shaped up because of which he moved onto another story.

“Neeraj worked on the script of Crack for a long time however he wasn’t happy with the climax. There were several brain storming sessions however, none of the ideas excited the director. He has now put the film on backburner and has moved on to another script which based on real incidents,” said a source.

When asked if Crack is shelved, the source concluded,

“It will happen for sure. Pandey will start working on the script of Crack post the release of his next film.”
