Akshay Kumar's Airlift trailer. 1 million YouTube views. 24 hours

Akshay Kumar's Airlift theatrical trailer went up on YouTube last evening and has received a widespread positive response across different social media platforms. Not just fans, but Bollywood actors like Hrithik Roshan took to Twitter to share their thoughts about the Akshay-Nimrat Kaur starrer.

The trailer of Airlift has crossed over 1 million views in 24 hours. It was up on the official T-Series YouTube channel at 5 PM on 2 January and ever since, #AirliftTrailer has been trending on Twitter and Facebook.

The much anticipated film is based on real life incidents from the Persian Gulf War in 1990. It is the story of India's most heroic mission of having rescued 1,70,000 Indians stranded in Kuwait.

Quick fact: Air India holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people evacuated by a civil airline because of this.

The movie releases on 22 January 2016.
