Airlift Box-Office: Indians give Akshay Kumar film a thumbs up

Akshay Kumar's Airlift witnessed a big jump in collections as it has raked in around Rs 14.60 crore on its second day taking the two-day total to Rs 27 crore.

The film saw an excellent growth of about 35 per cent on the second day. There was a considerable growth at mass centres too, which is a positive sign for the Akshay Kumar film. The business is expected to rise further on Sunday since the word of mouth has been extremely positive.

Even the metros were steady on Day 2 and the film is now looking to reap benefits of the Republic Day Holiday on Tuesday.

Day Wise Box-Office:

  • Friday: Rs 12.35 crore
  • Saturday: Rs 14.60 crore
  • Total: Rs 26.95 crore

The distribution rights of the film were sold for Rs 42 crore and the investment will be recovered by the end of the first week.
