Jolly LLB 2 had a fair start at the box office as the film raked in Rs 13.20 crore on its opening day. The Akshay Kumar film fared the best in Delhi and East Punjab however was let down by the under-performance in Mumbai, Gujarat and Pune.
The opening day should have been a little higher as fate of the film now depends majorly on the jump in collections over the weekend followed by the hold on Monday.
Despite the average opening, the film has the benefit of appreciation from critics and audiences which should translate into ticket sales. The film has a huge scope for jump especially in Mumbai territory and if it comes into picture, a healthy weekend total is on cards.
The film has been made on a tight budget and Fox Star Studios have pre-sold the satellite rights for a healthy amount.
