
Akshay Kumar is one busy man. His film Airlift is eyeing a release soon; he has already wrapped up shooting for his next film Housefull 3; work on Rustom has started too. As if all this wasn't enough, the Khiladi has also signed the Hindi remake of actor Vijay's Kaththi, tentatively titled Ikka in Hindi.

In Kaththi, Akshay Kumar will be seen essaying a double role, that of a thug and a post graduate in Hydrology. The film revolves around the sensitive issue of farmer suicides in India. While A R Murugadoss directed the original film, the Hindi remake will mark the debut of Jagan, who has assisted Murugadoss in the past.

This will be the second time Akshay Kumar will star in an AR Murugadoss remake, which starred Vijay in the original. The first one was Holiday, which was a smash hit. It will be interesting to see if Akshay recreates the same magic yet again with Ikka.
