Shivaay Box Office: After average opening day, Ajay Devgn film has a mountain to climb

Ajay Devgn's Shivaay recorded an average start at the Box Office as the film raked in around Rs 10.24 crore on its opening day, 28 October.

As expected, the action film worked the best at mass circuits - like CI (Central India), CP (Central Provinces), Rajasthan and Gujarat - and at Mumbai.

While a bumper opening was never on the cards, the film was expected to fare better on its opening day. To add to its woes, the initial reviews of Shivaay are negative. The Ajay Devgn film might witness a dip in collections on Saturday and Sunday.

The first day collections have almost sealed the fate of the film. If Shivaay wants to keep its head above the water, it will have to record a good trend from Monday on - a task that looks almost impossible as of now.

The budget of Shivaay is Rs 105 crore (as told to Catch by the producers). In order to break even theatrically, Rs 105 crore is how much Devgn's film will have to rake at the Box Office.
