Few directors get the chance to spend big money on opulent and massive sets and thanks to their successful track records, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Sooraj Barjatya, Rohit Shetty and Rajkumar Hirani have had the opportunity to do so.

While Sooraj Barjatya recently recreated the iconic Sheesh Mahal from Mughal-E-Azam for his upcoming directorial Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has done the same for Bajirao Mastani.

Both the films promise to be a visual spectacle due to the grand production value and set designs. While Prem Ratan Dhan Payo requires the Sheesh Mahal just for the climax scenes, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has recreated the Sheesh Mahal to shoot the song 'Deewani Mastani' in Bajirao Mastani.

The set recreated by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's team is touted as the most expensive set ever after Mughal-E-Azam. Set designers Sujit Sriram and Saloni took over 35 days to create the Sheesh Mahal with over 20,000 mirrors being specially ordered from Jaipur.

What makes the set even more special is the fact that it measures 12,500 square feet and is one of the biggest sets to be mounted in Bollywood history. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently shooting for the last schedule of Bajirao Mastani which will go on for the next 50 days. The movie will release on 18 December 2015, with Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale.
