The shooting for Dangal commenced on 20 September 2015, at Gujjarwal village in Ludhiana and Aamir Khan shot with the locals of the village for over 20 days.
After wrapping up the long schedule at Gujjarwal village a few days back, the actor, who plays a wrestler in the movie, has been training at local 'Akhadas' in Punjab, to get the nuances of his character right.
The second schedule of Dangal is expected to start soon at Dango village in Ludhiana which is coincidentally veteran actor Dharmendra's ancestral village. When Aamir learnt about the same, he called up Dharamji to discuss Dangal with him and promised to host a special screening of Dangal for the veteran actor once the film is ready.
Aamir Khan will be shooting for Dangal in Punjab till December this year after which he will hit the gym to lose the weight he had to gain for the film before commencing the last schedule in which the perfectionist is required to look young and lean.
The final schedule of Dangal will start from May 2016 and is expected to be wrapped up by June 2016.
Dangal will have a Christmas release in 2016.
