Aamir Khan is keen to act in 3 Idiots sequel, says Rajkumar Hirani

Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan have worked together in 3 Idiots and PK - two films which garnered overwhelming audience support.

There have been talks about a sequel to 3 Idiots since a while now. Even the producers of the film, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani, have confirmed earlier that the sequel would go on floors once the script is locked.

Finally, in an interview to a leading daily, Rajkumar Hirani confirmed that he has a great idea for a 3 Idiots' sequel and everyone is excited to start developing it into a screenplay. He said,

"Aamir is always a complete joy to work with. He is one of those rare persons, who gets completely involved in the film. So, I would love to work with him. In fact, in between, we have a great idea for 3 Idiots 2. It's still very sketchy, but out of excitement, Abhijat and I bounced the idea to Aamir, and he is also very keen to do it someday. If that happens, then we would love to work together."

3 Idiots (2009) was the first Bollywood film to rake in over Rs 200 crore at the Box Office. The movie also starred Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles.
