'See you soon, Sri Lanka': US man's final post on Facebook before blast
In a deadly attack on Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka, a US technician who was visiting the country due to some work was also in the list of hundreds who lost their lives on the brink of the multiple explosions.
A worker of the British educational company Pearson, Dieter Kowalski, had written a post on Facebook for everyone wherein he was stating that his work is over and he will be leaving soon and thanked Sri Lanka for its ambiance and support.
The 40 year old Wisconsin native said in the post that, “And the fun begins. Love these work trips. 24 hours of flying. See you soon Sri Lanka!”
The message which was later on given to the employees by the Pearson companies CEO John Fallon said that his companies employee Kowalski just arrived at his hotel and immediately explosion took place in the hotel on the Easter Sunday.
Pearson CEO Fallon wrote that “Colleagues who knew Dieter well talk about how much fun he was to be around, how big-hearted and full-spirited he was,” adding that “We're angry that a good man, who took simple pleasure in fixing things, has been killed, along with many others, by evil men and women who know only how to destroy.”
In a major attack, Sri Lanka received more than 8 wounds with more than 310 casualties and has led the government to declare Emergency in the country and the social media has been banned for now.
