Each and everyone of us surely remember the popular couple of the small screen also known as the Pavitra Rishta couple aka Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput. They were one of the most talked about and loved couple but their fans’ dreams to see them get married to each other when the news of their break-up started doing rounds and later which was confirmed by Sushant.
The reason of their split wasn’t revealed but it was being said that Sushant’s growing closeness with Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon lead to the flame between the two. After their break-up, Sushant moved forward and did a lot of movies while there was hardly any news about Ankita when one day everyone came to know about her Bollywood debut in Kangana Ranaut’s movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
Well now, the pretty looking actress has come out strong and opened up about her break-up and that phase and what happened later. During an interview by DNA, she was asked if the split affected her career to which she said, “Honestly, I have always been content. When I was working, I was satisfied; when I wasn’t, I was still happy. I’m okay with whatever I do. Aisa kabhi nahin tha ki mujhe yeh chahiye ya woh chahiye. I decided to take a break because I was happy with that then. It was not just for myself.”
Further she said, “I guess, the Universe wanted me to get back professionally, which is why I’m here now. I won’t say the break-up affected my profession, though. Love and work are two separate things. You need to balance them and I’ll say I wasn’t able to do that.”
She said that break-ups obviously affect you a lot but she was strong because she knew that whatever the things were, her family and friends were there with her. She was asked whether it was work where she put all her efforts to which she said. She said, “After everything happened, when I was back to a state of normalcy, I kept asking myself, ‘What do I want to do next?’ and I chose work.”
She said that now what she she feels for her dance and for acting is what she will call love. She said that she now knows how to love herself and to balance things in her life. Ankita was quoted, “Today, I know how to do that. Mujhe pata hai kahaan kise importance deni hai. Lekin sabse zyada importance mujhe apne aap ko deni hai.”
When she was asked if she was dating she said that she is still waiting for her prince charming and still has a place for love and relationships in her life.
