Google annual developer conference 2018: Here are the major announcements awaited on Android P, Home speaker, Google AI etc.
Google annual developer conference I/O will take place on Tuesday, 8 May and it will end on 10 May 2018. Recently Facebook held its annual developer conference and made big announcements for WhatsApp and Instagram as well. The Google annual developer conference will be organised in the Mountain view amphitheatre of California like last year. These events are the platform to make a major announcement. There are speculations Google can reveal the information related to its new mobile operating system Android P. And the company could share developments related to Google assistant, Wear OS and other products.
Apart from these traditional launches, there will be sights of advance development in technologies like Artificial Intelligence and augmented reality globally. This year in I/O 2018, Google can make important announcements to counter the companies like Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Microsoft in the market. The other major announcements are,
Android P
Google has launched the preview of Android P which is the next version of its mobile operating system. There is speculation Google can reveal more information related to this new operating system. After the launch Android Nougat and Android Oreo, the next version is Android P. The new Android P can include the new gesture support and native support for the notched display. Speculations suggest that it can also have the visual design change and unified setting options.
Google Assistant and Google Home
Google can also make the announcement on its Home device, it could be related to new features and investment in the new product to expand its market. To counter the Amazon Echo show and Echo spot, Google can launch its Home speaker with integrated display.
Wear OS
Google recently rebranded Android wear to Wear OS, in I/O 2018 Google can make the major announcement related to this product.
