#AFGvWI | Afghanistan put up challenging score for West Indies to chase in second innings

Hoping to end their ICC World T20 campaign with a win against one of the strongest teams in the tournament, Afghanistan have posted a score of 123 against West Indies in Nagpur.

Afghanistan have flattered to deceive in most of the tournament, but they could be excused for their lack of experience at the international level. And for a large part of the first innings, it was the same story as after getting off to a good start thanks to Mohammad Shehzad, the Afghan innings fell apart.

But the batsmen recovered towards the end to reach 123, thanks to the last-gasp effort from Najibullah Zadran who scored 48 off 40 balls.

West Indies are without Chris Gayle in this match, and cannot afford to take the score lightly. In their last match against New Zealand, their batsmen struggled to chase down a similar total before eventually making it over the line.

Afghanistan have a good spin attack in their ranks, and would be looking to exploit the conditions in Nagpur on a pitch that will provide good assistance to spinners.
