Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to take two month paternity leave for baby girl! Here's his post

Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg is all set to become a father of a daughter. Zuckerberg made a strong statement on Friday, 20 November in a post on Facebook stating that he will be taking to months paternity leave after the birth of his daughter. Zuckerberg is one of the busiest and most powerful US executives, and hence this decision comes as a strong one emphasising on importance of family.

A strong wave of extending paternity leaves for expecting fathers is on the rise in technology-based firms across the world. Paternity leave allowances and benefits have increased manifold in order to recruit and retain talent.

In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg mentioned that "At Facebook offer our US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year."

He termed his decision to take two months paternity leave as a "personal" one. He also posted a picture of his pet dog 'Beast' sitting next to a baby seat. Zuckerberg says Beast knows "knows something's up."
