August 11 was scheduled to witness one of the biggest clashes of the year with Akshay Kumar's Bollywood film Toilet Ek Prem Katha and Tamil actor Thala Ajith starrer Vivegam. While Toilet Ek Prem Katha touted to be a satirical comedy film in support of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Vivegam is an out-and-out action thriller from actor-director duo Thala Ajith – Siva after the blockbusters Veeram and Vedhalam.

However, the makers of Vivegam has decided to postpone the film after the censorship process happened on Monday. The Thala Ajith starrer has bagged a 'U/A' certificate from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) and now will release on August 24 as solo release.

While the makers of Toilet Ek Prem Katha were hoping to release their film as a solo Independence weekend release, here comes an interesting twist over the release date.

Akshay Kumar starrer will now have to clash with 10 south films including 7 Tamil films and 3 Telugu films on August 11. The sudden release change date of Vivegam has worked in favor of South makers to release their respective films on August 11. Bollywood actress Kajol's comeback Tamil film, Dhanush starrer Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 (VIP 2), which was scheduled to release on July 28 is now slated to release on August 11. Also, Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati's upcoming political drama Nene Raju Nene Mantri and Jyothika's Magalir Mattum will now hit the screens on the same day.

Looks like Bollywood Khiladi's Toilet Ek Prem Katha has a tough time ahead to clean the Box Office across the South India.
