Last Friday saw the release of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Conclusion at the Taiwan Box Office. The Telugu film, a sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning, starred Prabhas in dual role as father-son duo Amarendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali. Baahubali 2 also featured Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Remyakrishnan and Nassar.

Baahubali 2 has opened to decent occupancy across the cinemas in Taiwan. The war drama was released in 13 locations in Taiwan and has so far minted US$ 44,000 (INR 28.50 lakh) at the Taiwan Box Office. Baahubali 2 was expected to beat the opening weekend records of Aamir Khan blockbuster Dangal, which had minted US$ 222,000 (Rs. 1.43 crore) on its opening weekend. The lifetime collections of the Aamir Khan starrer at the Taiwan Box office is a whopping Rs. 40 crore. And going by the trends, Baahubali 2 is struggling to recreate the magic of Dangal in Taiwan cinemas.

Baahubali 2 has so far minted Rs. 1690 crore worldwide and will be aiming to cross the Rs. 1700 mark with Taiwan Box Office collections.
