The superstar, who requires no introduction turns 65 today. Rajinikanth had plans to unveil his look in the much-anticipated sequel to Robot - Shankar's Robot 2 - on 12 December. However, he called off the launch to pay tribute to the victims of the Tamil Nadu floods.

While Rajinikanth's birthday is nothing short of a state festival in Tamil Nadu, this year will be different. According to sources, the superstar had prohibited any celebrations this year. He also donated Rs 10 lakh to help those affected by the floods. Following in his footsteps, the fans of the actor plan to donate food across the state today. Huge hoardings featuring the superstar will be found across the city and Rajinikanth impersonators will put up performances at various venues.
