Rajinikanth visits Apollo Hospital to enquire about Jayalalithaa's health

On the evening of 16 October, Tamil megastar Rajinikanth and his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush visited the Apollo Hospital, Chennai, to inquire about Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's health. Reportedly, the Thalaivar and his daughter spent half-an-hour at the hospital and interacted with the team of doctors who are treating the CM.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospital on 22 September due to high fever and dehydration. The chief minister's health has been a major concern for the state, even though the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party has stated that their leader is recovering.

However, the Kabali actor was reportedly not allowed enter her ward, like many other recent visitors including DMK leader MK Stalin, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, Governor of Kerala P Sathasivam and Nita Ambani.

Meanwhile, doctors have said that she needs a longer stay at the hospital as she has been suffering from infection and is on respiratory support.
