Rajinikanth's Kabali to release on 27 May 2016?

The latest update on the upcoming mega budget film, Kabali, is that the film is all set to release worldwide on 27 May 2016. The Rajinikanth starrer was earlier scheduled to release in April but was later postponed because the date coincided with those of the Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu.

Reportedly, the producer of the film, Kalaipuli S Thanu, will make the official announcement on the release date on Sunday, 20 March 2016, when he will launch the soundtrack and trailer of his film Theri at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. His Kabali lead actor Rajinikanth and A R Rahman are expected to attend the mega function.

The makers are planning to release seven different posters of Kabali in the upcoming seven weeks and the teaser of the film will be released on 14 April 2016 with the release of Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Theri. Kabali also stars Radhika Apte, Nassar, Kalaiyarasan, Dhansika Dinesh Ravi and Kishore. The film is set to release in Tamil and Telugu.
