It's widely known that two of the biggest superstars of India, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are close friends in real life. The veteran actors had started their film career in early 1970s and are still dominating the Indian film Industry. While Amitabh Bachchan is busy bagging most of the best actor awards at award shows these days, his friend, the Thalaiva is smashing records at global Box Office with all
his recent releases including last Friday's Kabali.
Kabali, which was released on last Friday, set the Box Office on fire by raking in more than Rs 100 crore worldwide on its opening day. The response for the Rajinikanth starrer at the Box Office was so phenomenal that it made his friend, Amitabh Bachan shower praises on him.
In a recent interview to a leading daily, the Shehanshah of Bollywood said that Rajinikanth is the real boss of Indian cinema. Big B also added that he is a great fan of Rajinikanth's simplicity.
He was quoted as saying:
"Rajinikanth is phenomenal. The largest, the best and truly the boss of Indian cinema. Outside of Tamil Nadu, people have no idea what he is all about. The adulation, the following is incomparable. We are friends and colleagues. I abhor epithets, but for him I will make exceptions, for he is truly exceptional."
"Look where he came from and what he has become. Sheer hard work, talent and the belief that he could do it. And he did! He is a fantastic living example for the youth. Despite his extraordinary career he has remained a simple, down-to-earth person. Do you know a Fiat car he bought when he had attained his early success remained with him till recently? Rajini is terrific company on the sets and a fine gentleman. He's religious, traditional and charitable."
In 1983, Amitabh Bachan made a guest appearance in Rajinikanth starrer Andha Kanoon, and the two have remained close friends since.
