Pawan Kalyan or Balakrishna to star in Boney Kapoor's Telugu remake of Pink
Bollywood popular producer Boney Kapoor had acquired the remake rights of the blockbuster film, Pink. The original film was directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and it made under the banner of Shoojit Sircar's production house. The film had Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari, and Andrea Tariang in the leading roles.
Recently, Boney Kapoor released a Tamil remake of Pink in which superstar Ajith reprise the role of Amitabh Bachchan. After the success of Tamil remake of Pink, Boney Kapoor is planning to produce Telugu remake of the film. He is even in talks with top stars of Telugu cinema to play the prominent role of an aged lawyer played by Amitabh Bachchan in Pink.
It is said that the producer has approached Balakrishna a few months ago and now reports are also that Pawan Kalyan who took retirement from acting to focus on politics full-time has also been approached. Now we will have to wait will Pawan Kalyan say a word to the project or not.
Furthermore, Balakrishna is shooting for director KS Ravikumar's upcoming movie and as of now, the only confirmation is that Boney Kapoor will finalize his leading actor in between Pawan Kalyan or Balakrishna. Interestingly, Pink Tamil remake, Nerkonda Paarvai starring Ajith, Shraddha Srinath, Abirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang turned out a blockbuster and it helped Boney Kapoor to established as a producer in Kollywood.
