Official: Vivek Oberoi to play baddie in Ajith's Thala 57
Tamil superstar Ajith is currently shooting for his 57th film - tentatively titled Thala 57 - in Hyderabad.
The film, the third collaboration between Ajith and Siva, has been produced by TG Thyagarajan under his banner, Sathya Jyothi Films. Their previous outings, Veeram and Vedalam, were massive hits at the Box Office and the actor-director duo hope to score a hattrick with Thala 57.
Media reports had previously speculated that the film would see Abhishek Bachchan play the role of the antagonist in Thala 57. However, it has now been revealed that Vivek Oberoi will be seen in the role instead.
Thala 57 also marks the Tamil debut of Akshara Haasan, who plays Ajith's colleague in the film. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in the role of Ajith's wife. The film is slated to hit the screens worldwide in 2017.
