Kerala Box Office: With Richie and Fidaa, Premam stars Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi to battle out on Dec 8

Kerala Box Office will see one of the interesting clash on December 8 as both Richie and Fidaa are scheduled to hit the screens on Friday. Interestingly, the clash will be between none other than the Premam stars, Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi. While Richie is Nivin Pauly's first straight Tamil film, Fidaa is the Malayalam dubbed version of Sai Pallavi's Telugu debut with the same title, which was also a blockbuster at the Tollywood Box office.

Richie, which also marks the directorial debut of Gautham Ramachandran i s an official remake of Kannada blockbuster, Ulidavaru Kandanthe. Gautham has previously worked as an associate to director Mysskin. Richie stars Shraddha Srinath as the female lead. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli and Natty in supporting roles. The original version featured Rakshit Shetty, Kishore, Sheethal Shetty, and Yagna Shetty. Reportedly, Gautham and Rakshit are close friends and it was Nivin who requested Gautham to remake the film.Nivin pauly will be seen portraying the role of an arrogant gangster in Richie.

Fidaa is touted as the surprise Telugu blockbuster of 2017. The film, which had made on a small budget of Rs. 16 crore, went on to collect more than Rs. 90 crore at the Box Office worldwide. In fact, at the US Box Office, Sai Pallavi's charming screen presence along with her brilliant acting helped the film to cross the lifetime collections of Telugu superstars recent films, Pawan Kalyan starrer Katamarayudu and Allu Arjun's DJ in 5-theatrical days. Though Sai Pallavi had done only two Malayalam films, but she had already earned a household name among the Malayalam audience. Malayalam director Unnikrishnan B is distributing the Malayalam dubbed version of Sai Pallavi starrer in Kerala under his home banner RD Illuminations. He has earlier distributed the Malayalam dubbed versions of Allu Arjun's Rs. 100 crore hits Sarrainodu and Duvvada Jagannadham and both proved to be huge money spinners at the Kerala Box Office.

Unnikrishnan B will be teaming up with Sathish and Sujith Taroor, who had done the dubbing and lyrics of the Malayalam version of Fidaa. The Malayalam version is coordinated by Saigopal R.

It will be interesting to see which Premam actor will have the last laugh at the end of both films' theatrical run. Nivin pauly or Sai Pallavi ?
