Friday saw two major non-Malayalam films at the Kerala Box Office. Kajol, Dhanush, Amala Paul starrer VIP 2 and Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha.
On its 5-day opening weekend, VIP 2 has minted a good 2.50 crore at the Kerala Box Office. Despite getting mixed reviews, the Dhanush starrer has managed to rake in good money across the cinemas of Kerala. The Independence holiday also worked in favour of the film.
Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha has once again turned out to be an average grosser for the actor at the Kerala Box Office. Similar to the theatrical performance of his previous release Jolly LLB 2, Toilet Ek Prem Katha too struggled to record good occupancy in Kerala.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan's last week release Jab Harry Met Sejal turned out to be his biggest box office disaster at the Kerala. The film has suffered hugely due to the outright negative reviews from critics and social media alike.
