The release date of Kabali is just 10 days away and the Rajinikanth-starrer is making headlines almost every day.

Earlier, Catch had reported that the much-awaited Thalaiva film is touted as an action entertainer where the superstar will be seen portraying the character of an ageing don. However, in a recent interview, director PA Ranjith revealed that his Rajinikanth-starrer is not an out and out action entertainer, but also a film with a strong social message for the audience. The director also added that in Kabali, Rajinikanth enacts a don who fights for the rights of Tamil people in Malaysia. According to him, the film also has many emotional scenes, which are sure to go down well with the family audience.

The PA Ranjith directorial also stars Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, John Vijay and Taiwanese actor Winston Chao. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, Kabali is slated to hit the screens on 22 July, 2016.
