Kollywood: Kriti Sanon to romance Ajith in Thala 57?

It is a widely known that the shooting of Thala 57 (unofficial title), the 57th film of Tamil superstar Ajith will commence on his birthday, 1 May 2016. While the makers had initially planned a Diwali 2016 release for the film, they have rescheduled the release date to Pongal 2017. 

Thala 57 will be Ajith and director Siva's third collaboration. The duo’s previous films Veeram, and Vedalam were massive hits at the Box Office. Thala will be seen in a dual role in this yet-to-be-titled film.

Reportedly, the makers are in talks with Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon to play one of the female leads in the film. However, the Dilwale actress, who made her acting debut in Mahesh Babu starrer Nenokkadine, is yet to confirm the news of her Kollywood debut opposite Ajith.

Meanwhile, the names of Anushka Shetty, Nayanthara, and Tamannaah Bhatia are doing the rounds for the other female lead of the film while Anirudh has been signed on to compose its music. The title and cast of the film will be announced on Tamil New Year which falls on 14 April 2016.
