It's known that the makers of Shankar's 2.0, Lyca Productions have sold the Hindi theatrical rights of the film for a whopping amount of Rs. 80 crore. The film is a sequel to the 2015 Tamil blockbuster which featured Rajinikanth in dual roles, as scientist Vaseegaran and Chitti: The Robot.
2.0 also marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the main antagonist.
And now, Lyca Productions has revealed the name of the Hindi distributor of 2.0 as Anil Thadani of AA Films. It has to be noted that Anil Thadani was also the joint distributor of Baahubali 2 along with Bollywood director Karan Johar.
Raju Mahalingam, the Creative Head of Lyca Productions tweeted;
"Glad to announce our association with AA Films. Lyca Productions to distribute the Hindi version of 2.0 through AA films of Bahubali-2 fame".
2.0 also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajon and Riyaz Khan. 2.0 will be releasing in both Hindi and Tamil in 2017.
