Malaysian Grand Prix Gold: PV Sindhu wins first title of the year

Indian badminton ace PV Sindhu clinched her first title of the year on Sunday, 24 January, when she defeated Scotland's Kirsty Gilmour 21-15, 21-9 in the finals of Malaysia Masters.
Sindhu, who had won the title earlier in 2013, took an early lead in the first game, and despite a late fightback by Gilmour, held on to win it 21-15.
The second game turned out to be much easier for Sindhu, as she easily won it by a scoreline of 21-9, thereby, ensuring her first title of the year.
With the win, Sindhu has now become the first player in the women's singles section to win the title on more than one occasion.
