At Asian Para Games Sandeep Chaudhary gets gold for India

In the ongoing Asian Para Games Sandeep Chaudhary clinched India's first gold medal in javelin throw, finishing on top in the men's F42-44/61-64 category. Sandeep claimed the gold with a best throw of 60.01m, which he managed in his third attempt.

The javelin thrower falls in the F42-44/61-62 category, which relates to limb deficiency, leg length difference, impaired muscle power and impaired range of movement.

The silver medal was claimed by Sri Lanka's Chaminda Sampath Hetti, who cleared 59.32m, while Iran's Omidi Ali settled for bronze.

India won two silver and three bronze medals on Sunday.

Farman Basha and Paramjeet Kumar claimed silver and bronze medals respectively.

In women's 100m butterfly Devanshi Satijawon picked up a silver and Suyansh Jadav claimed a bronze in the men's 200m individual medley.
