Kalistan Liberation Force (KLF) chief and noted terrorist Harminder Singh Mintoo and four other prisoners escaped from Punjab's Nabha Jail earlier on 27 November after 10 armed men broke into the jail and helped the prisoners to escape.

The men broke into the prison, wearing police uniforms and fired over 100 rounds at the jail authorities. The four prisoners who escaped along Mintoo are Gurpreet Singh, Vicky Gondra, Nitin Deol and Vikramjeet Singh.

The Punjab Police are still assessing the situation. Soon after the jail break, Punjab police placed a reward of Rs 25 Lakh for anyone who gives information about the jail break.

However, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP boss Arvind Kejriwal has said that Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal should resign.

The dreaded militant Mintoo, was arrested by Punjab police from Delhi's IGI airport in November 2014 when he was on his way back from Thailand.
