A day before 3 West Bengal MLAs and 50 councillors joined BJP and most of them were called from Mamata Banerjee's party TMC. However, now just a day after, TMC claimed that only suspended MLA and only 6 councillors have joined BJP, not 50.

All India Trinamool Congress took Twitter to recall a fact check and tweeted the numbers of their party joined BJP. TMC tweeted, "One suspended MLA of Trinamool joined BJP yesterday. The others were from Congress and CPI(M). The number of councillors is 6. That too they were forced at gunpoint to do so."

Let us tell you that On 28th May, 3 MLA of West Bengal including BJP leader Mukul Roy's son Subhrangshu Roy alongside 50 municipal councillors have joined BJP. This came as a major boost for BJP and a huge loss for TMC. This is really an impressive start for BJP who are looking to lead in assembly elections in West Bengal in 2021.

Three MLAs of West Bengal, Tusharkanti Bhattacharya and CPI(M)'s Debendra Nath Roy, and Subhrangshu Roy who was suspended from TMC joined BJP. Subhrangshu Roy was suspended for 'anti-party' activities after the general election results were announced.

BJP's general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya and Mukul Roy told the reporters that like seven phase of General elections in West Bengal, TMC leaders will also join BJP in seven phases.
