Sridevi post-mortem report: Not cardiac arrest but accidental drowning due to alcohol consumption the cause of death, said reports

As per reports, the dead body of the Veteran actress Sridevi will not be brought back to India today.

The case of Sridevi's death has been transferred to Dubai Public Prosecution who will take care of all the legal procedures that usually taken place in such cases, as per the Dubai Media Office. The call details of the actress's phone are also being checked.

Rajya Sabha MP, Amar Singh, during an interview given to ABP News said that the actress Sridevi used to drink red wine.

Veteran actor Sridevi sudden death gave a big shock to the nation. The actress was in Dubai attending wedding function of her nephew Mohit Marwah. The actress died at the age of 54 due to major cardiac arrest. She collapsed in her hotel room in the bathroom of Dubai's hotel where she was staying.

The Khaleej Times quoted family sources to report that Boney Kapoor, waiting to take Sridevi out to dinner, found her motionless in the bathtub of her room at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers.

Forensic reports reveal Sridevi died due to accidental drowning, as per a report in Gulf News. According to a report in Khaleej Times, the actress did not die due to cardiac arrest.

Forensic reports also reveal the traces of alcohol has been found in the blood. Under the influence of alcohol actress lost her balance and fell into the bathtub and drowned, reports Gulf News.

An official was quoted by Gulf News who said, “The investigation is still going on to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident as the forensic report only says that she drowned.” 

As per the reports, the police are now trying to find out who was with the actress when the incident took place. Dubai Police release forensics report of Sridevi to her family and the Indian consulate, according to a report in Gulf News. The dead body of the actress has been released for embalming.

Sridevi's body will be flown to India by Private Jet of Anil Ambani. Once back, her funeral will be held at Mumbai’s Pawan Hans in Juhu, Ville Parle.
